OFFICERS
The Corps is staffed by officers of the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) and several dedicated Civilian Instructors. The Commanding Officer leads this group of specially trained men and women as they perform the administrative, support and training tasks needed to help the cadets successfully complete all of the year's training objectives and activities.
The Officers are paid by the DND for 2.5 days each month (during the training year) to run the program.
The CI's (Civilian Instructors) are paid positions only when they fulfill an assigned Corps position.
The CV's (Civilian Volunteers) are unpaid positions.
It is clear to anyone closely associated with the program that all staff involved likely put in a minimum of 3 to 4x the time they are actually paid for, if they get paid at all. They appreciate all the assistance they receive from the Parent Support Committee, parents and various support staff in delivering the complex aspects of the program.
